General
An all-purpose truck will pick you up and take you into the Escambray Mountains. Stop at a lookout point more than 1640 feet (500 meters) above sea level to take photos. Then continue on up to Topes de Collantes, on a plateau around 2560 feet (780 meters) above sea level. On the way, you can see coffee plantations and forests of different species of trees (mahogany, cedar, tree hibiscus, eucalyptus and pine).
Continue your trip to the Charco Azul area, with its Guanayara Park. Welcome, including a cocktail. Go along the trail. Visit El Rocío Waterfall and El Venado Pool. Take a dip in the clear water in both places, if you like. Have an exquisite typical Cuban lunch at Gallega House, including a local delicacy. Free time. Return to Trinidad.
