Itinerary

Day 1: Welcome to Havana!

We have reserved this day to give you a warm welcome to Havana.

A transfer will be coordinated to take you from the airport to your accommodation.

Around 8:00 pm, a taxi will pick you up for taking you to Hotel Nacional de Cuba, where a Mojito will be waiting for you on the outdoor terrace. Although there are many restaurants around Hotel Nacional, we have booked for you tickets for Cabaret Parisien, where you can have a great dinner together with one of Havana’s best nights out.

A taxi will be at your disposal for returning to your hotel or casa particular.

Included on day 1:

  • Transfer from Airport to your accommodation.
  • Taxi to and from Hotel Nacional.

Day 2: Explore Havana Vieja

Havana is one of the truly great colonial cities. Explore its historic centre strolling the streets between the main colonial squares. The guide will take you to the main sights.

Get your introduction to Havana stopping for a morning coffee in Plaza Vieja; browsing through the revolutionary tomes at the secondhand book market in Plaza de Armas; soaking up the atmosphere on Calle Mercaderes; making a beeline for baroque Catedral de la Habana.

A lunch in one of the many restaurants on thi area will restore your strengths to continue walking to Parque Central. Hang out around Parque Central, admiring the old American cars in front of Capitolio Nacional. Here you can take a guided tour around the recently restored Capitolio, and Gran Teatro de la Habana Alicia Alonso.

Afterwards, walk down the wide avenue el Prado and turn left into Malecon sea drive in time for sunset.

If you are not too tired from the long walk, we reserved for your second night in Havana the famous cañonazo ceremony at 9:00 pm in Fortaleza San Carlos de la Cabaña. You need to arrive before 8:30.

Day 3: Havana’s best museums and Hemingway

Cuban art scene is very know and appreciated, therefore we recommend you to visit the “Arte Cubano” collection at Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes. It is a short hop from here to Museo de la Revolución encased in the impossible to miss Presidential Palace. Afterwards, a short walk will take you for a coffe or snack to the pleaseant square in from of Café del Ángel.

From here a taxi will take you to "Finca Vigia", Hemingway’s house where he wrote (among others) his novel "The Old Man and the Sea". On the way back continue with Hemingway theme by squeezing into La Bodeguita del Medio for an obligatory mojito.

For the night we recommend you not too miss the Tropicana Cabaret, Cuba's most famous cabaret. Tropicana is also a great place to eat; the restaurant features authentic Cuban dishes as well as international cuisine.

Day 4: Classic car tour around Playa and Vedado districts

Don’t miss the opportunity to hail one of the brightly-hued old Chevy and Buick convertible cars. Your tour today begings with a classic American car ride through Quinta Avenida, admiring the eclectic mansions and the broad avenue that takes you to the western end of Playa district. Here, the visit to an amazing community art project known as Fusterlandia is a must, as well as the lunch at Sancti Pescador restaurant.

In the way back, the drivers will briefly stop in the Parque Almendares. Later, crossing the Almendares river into Vedado will take you to Havana’s magnificent cementery, the Necropolis Cristóbal Colón. The tours finalize today with a visit to Plaza de la Revolución, and if there is time, a walk over to see the Marti Memorial.

The classic car will take you back to the hotel or casa particular for you to refresh and rest. But if you are in the mood for a night of music and art, let us take you to Fabrica de Arte Cubano.
